This section applies to candidates who have been offered the role of Executive Trainee (ET) by ICICI Prudential through the UDAAN campus program.
We have addressed the questions which may arise frequently as you get set to join the organization.
Q - When will I get my offer letter and appointment letter?
A – The offer letter should reach you within 10 days after the final interview. The appointment letter should be sent within 4 to 6 weeks after the final interview.
Q - My MBA course ends in June; however, my college has allowed me to take full time employment in March 07, when can I join?
A - You can join ICICI Prudential only after you have completed your academic course in all respects - including final examinations, project submission and VIVA / VOCE.
Our recruitment partners would be in touch with you and your Placement Coordinators to decide upon the joining date for the college students. You are requested to stay in touch with their coordinators for further information on the exact dates of joining.
Q – Whom and at which branch will I be reporting to?
A –Your reporting manager and branch would be informed to you during the training.
Q - Which of the channels is better OR how different are the various channels?
A – All Channels offer a Sales job. At ICICI Prudential, all the channels have equal importance for the organization and thus provide equal opportunities for career progression. If required, new channels are formed in response to market/ customer needs and product & customer segmentation.
Q - Can I change my profile from Tied Agency to Alternate Channels and vice versa on a later date?
A – No. Only once you prove yourself and reach level of Sales Manager through sheer performance, there could be possibility of movement across channels based on organizational requirement.
Q - What will be my Take Home Salary?
A - Your take home salary will be your gross pay* less the total deductions from your salary, which is as follows:
Your contribution towards Provident Fund, pegged at 12% of your basic salary. The company will be contributing an equal amount. Amount payable towards gratuity. Taxes as applicable.
This is a standard practice as per the applicable regulations..

Q - How do you ensure Meritocracy?
A – As you have seen, the Stepping Stones career progression program is transparent and well defined and based only on performance. There is no scope for subjectivity unless there is a violation of values like integrity. Moreover, with initiatives like Expressway, you have an opportunity for fast track growth if your performance is excellent.
Q - What is a goal sheet?
A - Goal sheet comprises of targets across various business parameters like business premium, number of policies, advisor team strength and activisation (only for tied agency). These would depend on the dynamics of the channels. Each channel has different parameters. When you meet all the parameters you will be eligible for promotion.
Q - When and where will my training be held?
A - The LIFE Training batches are organized at various locations across the country. Locations would be decided based on batch strength and number of ET’s ready to join on that date. Please stay in touch with our Recruitment Partners for exact details.
Q - What is the duration of the training period? What would it comprise of?
A – The training would typically be for 3-4 weeks. It would comprise insurance concepts, sales techniques and introduction to ICICI Prudential values, systems and processes and products.
Q – Will there be a test to be cleared after the training?
A – Yes you would have various tests during and after the training. You need to pass these tests.
