This pension plan works in two phases:

• Accumulation Phase : Pay premiums towards the Policy and accumulate savings for your retirement.
• Annuity or Pension Phase : Start receiving pension from the accumulated amount, as per your chosen pension option.

Benefits in the Accumulation phase

• Additional allocation of units : There will be 2% additional allocation of units every year starting from the 6th policy year of the pension plan up to the original vesting date, on payment of due premiums.
• Loyalty Additions : A Loyalty Addition will be allocated at the end of every 5th policy year of your pension plan, starting from the 10th policy year. This will be equal to 1% of the average of the Fund Values on the last day of eight policy quarters preceding the said allocation and will be paid irrespective of the premium payment status. Loyalty Additions will continue during the Postponement Period as well.
• Death benefit : In the unfortunate event of death of the Life Assured during the term of the policy, the nominee shall receive Sum Assured (reduced by partial withdrawals) or Fund Value, whichever is higher.

Benefits during the Annuity (pension) phase

The accumulated value of your savings will start paying you a regular income in the form of a pension at a frequency and type of annuity option chosen by you. The annuity can be received monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or yearly depending on your needs.

• Trigger Portfolio Strategy : For an investor, maintaining a pre-defined asset allocation is a dynamic process and is a function of constantly changing markets. The Trigger Portfolio Strategy enables you to take advantage of substantial equity market swings and invest on the principle of “buy low, sell high.” This strategy also allows you to protect gains made from equity market investments from any future equity market volatility, in a systematic manner.
  
  Under this strategy, your investments will initially be distributed between two funds - Pension Multi Cap Growth Fund, an equity oriented fund, and Pension Income Fund, a debt oriented fund - in a 75%:25% proportion. The fund allocation may subsequently get altered due to market movements. We will re-balance or re-allocate funds in the portfolio based on a pre-defined trigger event
• Fixed Portfolio Strategy : For those who prefer to actively manage their own investments, we have a Fixed Portfolio Strategy. Under this strategy, you must choose your own asset allocation from any of the eight funds options. You can switch between these funds using our switch option.
