1. What is 3 Lakh claim intimation payout6 benefit?
In case of death of Life Assured, Instant relief in form of Rs. 3,00,000 to be paid. This benefit is for Sum Assured greater than or equal to 1 Crore & will be offered within one working day from the claim registration date as gesture to provide interim support.
2. What is a term plan?
Term Insurance plan is a simple and pure risk cover form of life insurance. It provides financial protection to your family against a fixed premium paid for a specified term. You can get a large amount of term insurance cover (sum assured) at affordable premiums. The nominee receives the term insurance amount in case of death of the policyholder.
3. When should I buy a term plan?
The earlier you buy a Term Plan, the better it is as the premiums are lower when you are younger and healthier. Also, with current lifestyles and increasing instances of illnesses, it may become difficult to get a term plan later, as you grow older.

6. What are the eligibility criteria for availing these health care services ?
The Life Assured will get access to a carefully curated suite of inbuilt health management and wellbeing services. These inbuilt health management and wellbeing services are applicable only if the policy is in force with all due premiums paid to date. The Life Assured can enjoy these inbuilt benefits seamlessly from our ICICI PruLife Customer App. Eligibility of services is determined based on the company’s prevailing Board-approved Underwriting Policy (BAUP) and may be periodically reviewed. Any withdrawal or modification of services will be communicated through ICICI Pru Life Customer app.
7. What are the charges to avail these Value-Added Services?
There are no extra charges to avail these services. Once the policy is issued and active, you are eligible to avail these services free of charge after 30 days of date of issuance of policy.
8. Who can avail these services ?
In case Life Assured is not same as proposer Life Assured under this plan can only avail these services.
9. Who will provide these services?
These services shall be directly provided by third party service provider(s) as per their prevailing terms and conditions. The Company merely acts as a facilitator of these services to the Life Assured.
The company shall not be liable for any services or actions of the third-party service providers including but not limited to deficiency in services / malpractices / negligence / lapses or otherwise.
10. Can NRI’s avail these services?
Yes, but only in India.
11. When can a customer avail these services?
The services can be availed after 30 days of policy issuance provided the policy is in-force or fully paid-up at the time of availing the service. The services can be availed (subject to availability) any time after the end of the one full policy year provided the policy is in-force premium paying or fully paid-up at the time of availing the service.
Eligibility of services is determined based on the company’s prevailing Board-approved Underwriting Policy (BAUP) and may be periodically reviewed.
12. What are the cautions to be practiced against any Fraudulent activities?
- The use of the wellness benefits under the Policy shall be with good intent and integrity. The Life Assured or the Policyholder shall not encourage, indulge or act in connivance with any person involved in any fraudulent activity regarding the use of the benefits under the plan, whether directly or indirectly, for generating personal revenue. The Life Assured or the policyholder agrees to not use the platform or the services provided therein for generating personal gain or any commercial / public use, directly or indirectly, whatsoever
- An act may be defined as a fraudulent activity as per Company/ service provider’s internal policies subject to extant laws. Such acts may include but not limited to any misrepresentations, concealment of facts and furnishing of incorrect information by the Life Assured or Policyholder
- In the event of any fraudulent activity being carried out, the Company/ service provider shall be entitled to seek any and all remedies available under law. Additionally, the service provider shall permanently suspend the use of the benefits under the plan, and not honour any service request, including any pending requests
- Any fraud or misrepresentation identified will cease Health Management & Wellbeing services. The base plan benefits shall continue and any Premiums due will continue to be payable on the respective due dates
13. What are the other points that should be kept in mind for the health care services?
The details and the list of health management and wellbeing services and the service providers will be as mentioned in the ICICI Pru Life Customer app. The Life Assured should check the above-mentioned app of the Company for the updated list of services.
- For ongoing health concerns, the company always recommend consulting directly with a medical practitioner
- The company reserve the right to discontinue the service or change the service provided or change in service provider(s) without any further intimation and at any time

Provided the policy is in force with all due premiums has been paid to date, he/she can enjoy these inbuilt benefits seamlessly via our easy-to-use ICICI Pru Life Customer app. These services are offered at no additional cost after 30 days from the date of issuance of the policy.
3 Flat 15% lifetime discount is applicable for females as compared to male lives for across all sum-assured, Policy Term, Premium Payment Term and age combinations. The discount is only available on the base premium.
4 Premium Break: You can get Premium Break under the product for a period extending by 12 months from the due date of first unpaid premium. During this Premium Break Period, the premium (including the rider(s) premium, additional premium (if any) for the other inbuilt benefits, any underwriting extra premium, loadings for modal premiums, cesses and levies, etc. if any) due and payable for the said period will be deferred (“Deferred Amount”) but the risk cover under the policy and rider(s) will continue as per the terms and conditions of the policy and rider(s), respectively. In case of any claim under the Policy on the happening of any insured event during this period, the policyholder will receive the eligible claim amount under the policy after deducting all the deferred amount. This benefit option can be availed multiple times with at least 5 policy years between two Premium Break periods. The Premium Break will not be available during the last 3 policy years of the premium payment term. The Deferred Amount along with the next due Premium is to be paid within the Grace period applicable for the premium due at the next Policy Anniversary after the commencement of the Premium Break Period to ensure continuance of the risk cover under the policy.
5 Increasing income: This is one of the 2 death benefit payout options available. Under this option, the benefit amount is payable in monthly instalments for 10 years starting with 10% of the benefit amount per annum in the first year. The income amount will increase by 3.5% per annum simple interest every year thereafter. At the time of death claim approval and at any time after the start of monthly income, the beneficiary will have the option to convert the outstanding monthly income into lump sum pay out and the Policy will terminate after the lump sum payout. The lump sum amount will be the present value of future payouts calculated at a discount rate.
6 In the event of the death of the Life Assured and upon subsequent receipt of intimation of the death claim (with required supporting documents) by the Company, the Company shall pay an accelerated Death Benefit of Rs. 3,00,000/- (Rupees Three Lakhs only). This will only be applicable where sum assured is greater than or equal to ₹1 crore and is not payable in case of death of the Life Assured during the first three Policy Years from the Date of Commencement of Risk or that from the Date of Revival of the policy whichever is later.. The immediate payout will be done within 1 working day from the Claim Registration Date, subject to submission of required documents. In case, after the evaluation or investigation of the claim records, it is found that the Death Benefit (including the applicable accelerated death benefit) is not payable to the Claimant owning to any reason whatsoever, the Claimant shall refund the entire amount paid towards accelerated Death Benefit within 7 days of receipt of communication. In case the policyholder has opted for a Death Benefit Payout Option whereby a part or the whole of the death benefit is payable in monthly instalments, this accelerated death benefit amount will be the lowest of:
- monthly income applicable in the first month as per the Death Benefit Payout Option chosen at policy inception
- ₹ 3,00,000
7 A Life Assured shall be regarded as Terminally Ill only if that Life Assured is diagnosed as suffering from a condition which, in the opinion of two independent medical practitioner’s specializing in treatment of such illness, is highly likely to lead to death within 6 months. The terminal illness must be diagnosed and confirmed by medical practitioner’s registered with the Indian Medical Association and approved by the Company. The Company reserves the right for independent assessment. Terminal Illness benefit will not be applicable in case the policy is sourced through POS personnel.
^ Tax benefits under the policy are subject to conditions and other provisions of the Income Tax Act, 1961. Goods and Services Tax and Cesses, if any, will be charged extra as per prevailing rates.
